ENTJ Support Group!

Thank God I found you guys! I am in desperate need of an ENTJ support group! I spent most of last night tossing and turning in bed pondering and thinking about all sorts of different things and wondering what was "wrong with me" because I seem to always be in this rut when it comes to friendships. I was talking this all out with my INTP husband last night who "couldn't see anything wrong with me" (probably because he just wanted to get back to bed). So I got on google this morning (because I am a chronic sponge when it comes to learning) and typed in "entj friends" wondering if it had anything to do with my personality type. One of the first things that popped up was the discussion of "What's the hardest part of being an ENTJ?". Wow. Reading your responses blew me away. All I kept doing was nodding my head in agreement (because, by the way, you guys were 100% correct - lol) and thinking to myself, man, I really need to belong to an ENTJ support group.

So -- here I am. What do you guys say?

:-)

I am sort of debating whether I am ENTP or ENTJ. I test both ways, but more often ENTJ. Also, I identify with ENTJ descriptions more. So I thought I'd join up here and see if I identify with the actual people more.

I share your "tossing and turning" while hoping to sleep. However, I found that I normally do sleep, but continue to work it out in dreams. When I am really stressed, I just don't really sleep.

I find that having a few close T, especially NT, friends makes life more bearable. I have friends from all over the spectrum, but am most myself and unrestrained with my NT friends.

I'm with you, new friend. I had wondered why I can design a software system in my head and with the next thought layout glass slumping (partially melting glass to a shape) project for a sculpture, then organize a church employment group in 10 minutes. I kept thinking that one day, when I grew up, I'm 46, I'd settle into something. Ain't no settlin' fo' this boy! I am having fun now.

I have found that I have friends in certain areas; the arts, politics, work/business, and church. I have pretty much no friends who cross over into each other's groups, and I don't know any else who does.

If you're like me and what looks like the rest of the group, you should find some real challenges, not just those easy-but-laborious tasks at work. Find a big problem and slay that dragon!

Oh, don't listen to people who tell you it can't be done' what ever you are attacking. You know it can be done, and the best way to do, so quit screwing around and get on with it.
